As I got in the car to shoot this look, Johnny (my boyfriend) tells me “You look like you’re going to an interview”….sound for that, though I guess he has a point. This is quite a dressy look without being too much. And I think that’s down to the trousers alone. If I wore jeans I don’t think it would look as dressy. What you think?
Both the high neck beige jumper and these trousers are favourites of mine, especially when put together. The trousers are so comfy, but it can be difficult to find something to put with them, though I do find jumpers are what suits best.
I love the jumper, I practically live in it, should have gotten more colours. Though the beige colour goes with most things. It’s a ribbed material that’s very figure hugging.
The tweed coat I’ve had a lifetime. It’s very light, not something to keep yourself warm at all but it is nice for that shabby chic look. The fur collar is a separate piece I bought over Christmas. A perfect detail to add to a look. It has a hook and eye fastening to tie them together.
How cute are the brogues, my very first pair. They had so many materials and style to choose from but I was drawn to these patent ones. Though I love them I have to admit it’s probably best to wear socks as the heel do dig in I find. Blistered heels are not a cute look.
The fedora fit the look perfectly. My Coach bag was a nice neat bag to put with it as I didn’t think a bulky one would suit. I thought a statement necklace would be nice like this silver and teal one. Though one long chain or multiple mid length chains would go nicely too.
