My Top Hair Products

   Hi ladies,

This is my very first hair post. Reason being, I’m not one to look after my hair, it’s just not on my list of priorities. I only even brush it before I wash it…surely I’m not alone there. What inspired this post was the fact that lately I’ve come across some seriously great products I’ve picked up. So decided to go through each product I use in the order I use them. Hope you find it useful.

1.L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner

img_4069 As I have coloured hair I need to be sure the products I use help sustain that colour. I have ALWAYS used this shampoo and conditioner for as long as I remember. It states that it  maintains colour intensity, protects hair via UVA/UVB filters and prolongs colour radiance. I can tell you that it certainly does all the above. There’s a reason I keep coming back to this.

2.L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo

img_4071Right, let me tell you about this. This was in my bathroom a few weeks ago, Mam mustn’t of been able to get the previous one. Even after first use my hair has NEVER felt so soft and full of life after washing it. Never. Like, my hair was so clean, soft and bouncy, that I couldn’t even style it. I was able to leave my  hair natural for 3 days!! One use and I didn’t have to wash my hair for 3 days!! Let’s just take a minute to comprehend that. Pure magic. Even when washing the smallest amount goes a long way. Also, it has definitely made my hair thicker too. I only use this every wash, I’m just conscious of trying to keep my colour.

3. Babyliss Curling Wand Pro

img_4072I got this curling wand as a present for my 21st birthday, I’ll be 26 in a few months. It probably took me a good year before I actually took it out to use, but haven’t looked back since. I only ever curl my hair, don’t tell Johnny that who got me the rose gold GHD for Christmas..eek! Yes, you can curl your hair with that but it doesn’t give me the desired affect. I like beachy messy waves as oppose to bouncy glam curls. So this curling wand totally achieves that. I haven’t desire to buy another wand as this does exactly what I want. For in around the €40 mark, I’ve gotten serious use of it.

4. Fudge Urban Sea Salt Spray

img_4065I use this product both after styling but also sometimes before styling too, to give my hair an extra bit of hold. I spray this onto my hand a good 3/4 times then scrunch my hair between my fingers to give it that beachy look. I also run it through my roots to add some volume. It smells great too. It comes in a 150ml bottle, and I feel like I’ve had this forever and use it alot, so it I’m definitely getting my money’s worth. Sea salt sprays are great for wavy hair, to add a bit of texture.

5. Aussie Miracle Dry Shampoo Colour Matte

img_4066Ahhhh this is the best thing ever. If you have coloured hair, you’ll know how important it  is to not over wash your hair. Dry shampoo is your best friend. Before I had this I was using Batista. But, dear god does it leave serious powder on your hair, so was on the look out for a new one. Then noticed this Aussie one especially for coloured hair. Brilliant. I’d never seen a dry shampoo specifically for that. Why do I love this? Well, it doesn’t leave powder marks, your hair actually feels fresh, doesn’t leave hair feeling knotted. It basically works. I didn’t like other dry shampoos as my hair never felt fresh after use. This one is a revelation.

Also, I need to give a little shout out to Willow Hair Boutique. It’s where I get my hair did, and I’m forever getting complimented on my colour, nobody does it like them. So I have those girls to thanks.

Have you guys used any of these products? What are your favourite hair products?
