If you have been following me on Instagram and Snapchat (aoifsp), you’ll be well aware that I am going to Rome for a few days to continue the celebrations of my birthday. I’m just back from town after picking up the last few bits, which I’ve for sure forgotten something. To be honest, I am just totally procrastinating as I should really be packing. What harm I have tomorrow and everyone loves a good haul right? Cool, so sit tight, enjoy.
Waterford Health Park
Recently the lovely people at the Waterford Health Park Pharmacy held an event for bloggers. While I was there it would be only rude if I didn’t make a few purchases. So I got the SOSU Contour Palette. I was curious about this but honestly wasn’t pushed about getting it. In saying that I did want a good cream contour palette, just handy having them all in one set. I actually do really like it, seriously pigmented and blends lovely. I am so stingy with buying make up, rather spend it on clothes, but this was so worth it. RP €29.99
I also got a dupe for Lacoste Touch of Pink, blast from the past eh. I just needed a perfume to throw in my bag, and it was only €6. My go to Garnier make up remover was only €2.50, which is normally double the price in other pharmacies. I couldn’t leave without getting the Flormar eyeliner, a favourite of mine.
Travel sized goods are essential, and Boots do 3 for 2 so it was super handy. I obviously went with shampoo and conditioner. I also think talcum powder is useful for holidays. For me, and I’m sure others have an issue when there’s serious heat and wearing a skirt or shorts….the dreaded chub rub!! Such a taboo to talk about, but fuck it. The struggle is real. Some of us aren’t blessed with a thigh gap, big up to my big thigh sistas!!!! As well, I picked up my usual toothpaste the Oral B Glamour Luxe. Also the iWhite was reduced to under €23 normally €30. I’ve used this before but this time around I’m really after seeing results. I love it.
I have been loving denim mini skirts lately, I think they are so versatile. Perfect for holidays, but also I will wear them out with heels too. Missguided have so many colours it was honestly hard to choose but this light khaki colour caught my eye. RP around €23
Waterford Vintage Factory
This store is an absolute gem in Waterford. I knew I would get something here for holidays and I was not disappointed. This candy stripe midi dress is the cutest, I can’t wait to style it. The straps and ruched neckline are very sweet. It will go perfectly with this straw hat I picked up too. I always wanted this style hat but could never find the shape I wanted but this one is perfection.
Last minute holiday plans mean ransacking Penneys. I had zero Summer clothes, as this Summer has been shocking so there was really no point, and I never intended on going away so I was really stuck. I only wanted to buy reduced items as I knew I wouldn’t get to wear them once we got home. Looking back I really didn’t buy much, and only 2 things reduced, typical. In saying that I was really particular in what I wanted. Buying for a city break is harder than a sun holiday. So if you’re looking to buy for a sun holiday you are sorted in the reduced section of Penneys.
I got another denim mini in black for only €12, keep in mind they are so stretchy. I got a size 6…that shit cray. I love the embellished details on the makeup bag. I love headwear so I picked up this real vibrant ethnic print headband, and a gorgeous satin print scarf, obsessed.
Holidays are so damn expensive just buying things for it aren’t they? Looking back it looks like I barely bought that much…WHERE DID MY MONEY GO?! I guess my new camera you could deem as a pre holiday buy, which was worth every cent. Anywho, there won’t be a post next week while I’m away so be sure to follow me on the links below to see my Roman adventure 🙂
