So I finally have an outfit post, one which I love. This outfit is a mix of new items along with some vintage pieces, serious 70’s and Wez Anderson vibes going on. It’s the perfect outfit post to get me back into the swing of winter outfits.
The new pieces in this post you’ll have seen if you follow me on Instagram. The first is this blue glitter high neck top from Penneys/Primark. It’s so flattering and comfortable to wear. You would also be surprised with how much it goes with. Yes, it is quite festive but hey, it is November…Christmas is creeping up on us. This top also came in a silver, which is fab, couldn’t recommend them enough, love.
Then this gorgeous embroidered button up skirt I had been eyeing up in River Island for ages. I then spotted it in the sale, last one and in my size…sure I couldn’t leave it there, that’d be fashion blasphemy. Button up skirts are still very big for winter and just very cute in general. What I love about this skirt is not just the embroidery which is amazing, but the fact I can wear it casual and dressed up. Perfection.
Now for the piéce de réstistance, this fur coat. Now, let me tell you the backstory with this gem. So I was given this real fur coat by my cousin, this coat belonged to one of my nans, who then gave it to my other grandmother. So both of them owned and wore this jacket, so not just is it divine, it’s also very special. I love that it is a plum colour too, so unique. Yes, it is real fur, for me personally it’s not something I condone, but I do think the fact it’s vintage and real makes is a very sought after piece.
I had to add the beret from The Waterford Vintage Factory, it just makes the outfit. Berets are 100% back this winter. Then these thigh highs were a great addition to the look. They are the perfect item for winter. I love these chunky boot ones but the only issue I have with them are that they keep rolling down, struggle is so very real.
